Supported Employment

Is this the right Program/Service for you?

  • Do you identify as a person with a disability?
  • Are you unemployed and not in school full-time?
  • Do you live in Belleville, Bancroft or Marmora?

If you answered ‘Yes’ to the questions above, Supported Employment might be the right choice for you!

Call our office at (613) 966-9069 and speak to reception to register for a Supported Employment Information Session.

At this Information Session, you’ll learn more about the program and how we can help you on your path to employment.

Still not sure if this is the right Program/Service for you?

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Are you receiving support from ODSP or CPP Disability?
  • Do you have a physical or psychological condition that affects your daily life? Does it keep you from finding or keeping a job? Has it affected your ability to stay in school?

If this sounds like it may be a good fit for you, call us and we’ll tell you more!

Here’s how we can assist:

Workshops

Disclosing a Disability to an Employer

If your disability may affect you in the workplace, talking to your employer can help but it can also be an intimidating process! In this workshop, we’ll cover when to disclose, why you should or should not disclose, how to do it and what to say (and what you don’t have to say!). Disclosing your disability to an employer can help you keep your job and grow your career.

I’m Hired!

You’ve got the job! Congratulations! But have you ever wondered: “what are my rights as an employee? Do I get breaks? Do I get vacation?”  There are tons of workplace laws in Ontario and Canada, and in this workshop, we’ll cover the basics to make sure you understand your workplace rights. In this workshop, we’ll help you get through the start-up period of your new job.

Workplace Culture

Workplace Culture is a workshop about parts of your work that don’t include  the job itself, such as attendance, punctuality, attitude, work ethic, boundaries, employer expectations, and getting along with your co-workers. There’s more to work than just the job itself, and this workshop will help you develop a stronger understanding of what it takes to keep your job!

Dress for Success

Knowing what to wear, or more importantly what NOT to wear, varies from workplace to workplace. This workshop explores why appearance and professionalism are so important in job search and job retention. From casual to formal, we’ll guide you through dressing for success!

Job Search 101

Are you new to job searching? Have you been out of work for a while? Looking for a refresher? If so, then this is the workshop for you! This two-part series explores all aspects of a job search. From career exploration, to resumes, applications, and interviews, we’ll help you get up to speed! Job Search 101 will help you develop a better understanding of job search basics, and get you ready for employment.
